New Faces



Originally from Streamwood, Illinois, Brian earned his BFA in Media Arts at the University of Tennessee. He is actively interested in art and animation and has done commission work utilizing his skills in a variety of 2D and 3D software.

Working with Innovative Learning Solutions, Brian has learned web programming to make “Map-Mind,” a dynamic note-taking app, currently preparing for its beta release. He also helps with other ILS projects by contributing animations and collaborating with the development team.

In his free-time Brian likes to kayak, make amateur songs, and do creative projects.

Susan Fredericks is a new member of the Marketing group at Innovative Learning Solutions. Susan received a B.S. in Communications and an M.B.A. from the University of Tennessee. Susan has returned to her hometown of Knoxville to coordinate marketing efforts for ILS.

A former coach for the Marketplace simulations at the University of Tennessee, Susan has directed marketing and communications programs at Crossville Inc., Broadcast Music, Hospital Corporation of America, NASCO Data Systems, Beatrice Foods, and Aladdin Industries.  She has also held sales positions at EXXON and IBM.

Susan was introduced to Marketplace as part of her MBA program at UT. She became interested in working for ILS after coaching student teams at UT and seeing the impact the simulations had in assimilating the knowledge students learned from various disciplines in the College of Business.  Susan’s hobbies include spending time at the lake and boating with her family. Nicole is a new member of the graphics team at ILS. She has a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Tennessee. Shortly after graduation, she worked for two years as a web/app designer. Nicole has a strong interest in game design, critical gaming, and user interface design. Nicole’s hobbies include drawing, indie game design, disc golf, and Photoshop. She hopes to eventually pursue graduate studies in interactive media.
