Q: Can I export my data to a spreadsheet?

A: This is how to export data from any html table displayed in Internet Explorer 5.x or above into Excel.

  1. Start MS Excel
  2. Select (highlight) the table on the web page and copy the selected area into the clipboard using the <CTRL+C> shortcut.
  3. Switch to MS Excel and paste the data into an Excel sheet from the clipboard using the <CTRL+P> shortcut. The table will be displayed with all formatting as it was displayed at the web page. You will need to get rid of the table formatting.
  4. Select the table at the Excel sheet and copy it into the clipboard using the <CTRL+C> shortcut.
  5. Paste the values only into a new Excel sheet by choosing the "Edit > Paste special > Values" function.
  6. The data should now be in a usable spreadsheet format.
