Operations Management

Target courses: The Operations Management simulation is targeted at any operations management course, although the intro course would be the best choice. Operations Management is currently in beta version.

Content: The focus of this simulation is on operations management (advanced manufacturing) set within the context of a fully functioning organization. Marketing, sales channel, accounting, and finance decisions are simplified while operations management is deeply explored. Students are responsible to set up a lean, reliable, pull manufacturing operation within a one-year time frame (4 quarters or decision periods). They will learn all of the fundamentals of a modern manufacturing system, including forecasting, changeover, and quality control.

Time frame: The game is set for 4 decision rounds, with each round taking 1 to 2 hours to complete.
