Third Polish Marketplace Tournament

The School of Banking and Management in Cracow and the Association of Future Consultants and Managers Cognitis in Poznan (formerly called SKND) are the organizers of the 3rd Edition of the Polish Marketplace Tournament. This Marketplace event started on April 8, 2009, at the following universities:
- Wroclaw University of Economics
- The University of Wroclaw
- The University of Warsaw
- The Warsaw School of Economics
- The Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan
- The Poznan University of Technology and
- The Poznan University of Economics
Registration was completed on Wednesday, April 22, 2009. The participants were registered online by the team tutors – staff members of colleges represented by the teams. The Marketplace Tournament is being held under the auspices of:
As in previous tourneys, the participants compete free of charge in order to widely promote the simulation and to enable all students interested in the Tournament to take part in the competition.
The competition consists of two stages. In the first round, forty teams consisting of four students each from different Polish universities of Economics will compete online on virtual markets. The teams competed in ten unique games, each with four randomly assigned teams. The qualifying round used the Polish version of the Business Management simulation, while the finals used the Polish version of the Venture Strategy simulation. The five best teams with highest results in the Cumulative Balanced Scorecard were invited to compete in the final round, which took place in June 2009 in Poznan. In the order of their final performance, the top teams are as follows:

- Mikolaj Zakrzewski, Jan Luszpianko, Paulina Piatkowska, Bartosz Popinski representing the Kozminski University - score: 41.299
- Dawid Gawron, Lukasz Janarek, Aleksander Herok representing the AGH University of Science and Technology – score: 12.511
- Maciej Kubinski, Michal Misko, Krzysztof Zawadzki, Michal Wiernicki representing the Kozminski University - score: 11.832
- Jakub Fic, Stanislaw Kania, Karol Drzymala representing the AGH University of Science and Technology – score: 6.484
