| Marketplace Live is Adding a New Dimension For three years, we have been working on the next generation of business simulations. As you plan your course for next semester, you might want to take a look at the new Marketplace Live simulation. The 3D, digital animation and graphics create a whole new learning environment that we hope is more intuitive, interactive and interesting. Our design goals include the following:
The feedback from our early adopters has been very positive. Here is what we have learned so far. Marketplace Live:
By itself, we have also learned that 3D animation is not sufficient. The underlying simulation model must be good. Importantly, Marketplace Live is built upon a well-tested and widely adopted business model and pedagogical approach. Intro to Marketing and Business Fundamentals added to Marketplace Live Product List We continue to expand our Marketplace Live game coverage. We have recently added Intro to Marketing and Business Fundamentals to our list of digital 3D simulations. We are now working on Venture Strategy and e-Commerce. We hope to have these ready for beta testing in October with widespread adoption in January, 2010. New Animated Stories For those of you that have already adopted Intro to Business and Strategy, we have added several new animated stories to illustrate key learning points and events in the simulation. You will especially enjoy the new stories featuring the loan shark. Updated Game Scenarios As we roll out new game levels in Marketplace Live, we have also revised the game's scenarios. We have updated the geographic regions, market research data, and brand and ad features. These changes ensure that your students will not be able to pass game play advice from one class to the next.
