| Michael Lobbestael's Class at Michigan State University is Featured in Entrepreneur.com In August 2006, Entrepreneur.com issued an article, entitled “Game Plans” by Nichole L. Torres, which discusses the benefits of “learning business strategy by playing entrepreneur” in a simulated environment. The Marketplace business simulation platform is listed as one of the tools that let “students all over the world create virtual companies, make business decisions and compete with other virtual businesses.” To illustrate the benefits of Marketplace, Nichole L. Torres describes how Michigan State University professor Michael Lobbestael uses Marketplace in his business class as a way to condense 2 years of business decisions in one-semester long course. The article also puts an emphasis on the realism that comes with the lengthy preparation required to present and prove the viability of a business plan in front of a Venture Capitalist community.
