First
Polish Marketplace Competition
The final game of the First Polish Marketplace
Competition took place this past spring on June 28th and 29th. The
championship was organized by the School of Banking and Management
in Krakow and the Educational Enterprise Foundation in Lodz. The
final contest was between the best five teams from the qualifying
round.
The rivalry of thirty (30) Polish teams from different
Polish universities of Economics consisting of 5 students each started
on May 6, 2005. The competition consisted of two stages – a 5-week-long
qualifying round and a final round. The thirty teams competed in
six industries (games) with each of five teams, randomly assigned
to an industry. The qualifying round used the Polish version of
the Business Management simulation. The five best teams with highest
results in the Cumulative Balanced Scorecard were invited to compete
in the finals for the championship and attractive awards.
The contestants in the finals were:
- Team PowerBulls from Politechnika Bialostocka
- Team UAM Electronics from Uniwersytet im Adama Mickiewicza w
Poznaniu
- Team TRaCER from Wyzsza Szkola Przedsiebiorczosci i Zarzadzania
im. Leona Kozminskiego w Warszawie
- Team MADOX from Wyzsza Szkola Informatyki i Zarzzdzania w Rzeszowie
- Team Global Trade from Bielska Wyzsza Szkola Biznesu im. J.
Tyszkiewicza
The participants in the final competition used the
English version of the Venture Strategy Marketplace simulation.
The final evaluation of the teams' performance was based on the
Cumulative Balanced Scorecard.
The winning team was UAM Electronics, with the final
score of 260 points.
The winners of the final competition were the students
representing Uniwersytet im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu. They
are

- Tomasz Kruczkowski
- Marcin Nowinski
- Patryk Tyton
During the ceremony at the School of Banking and Management in
Krakow, the winning participants were awarded prizes funded by Mr.
Aleksander Gudzowaty and medals and certificates prepared by the
Innovative Learning Solutions, Inc. The prizes were awarded by Dr.
Cadotte’s friend, Professor Dietl of the Educational Enterprise
Foundation in Lodz. The award ceremony took place on September 26,
2005 and the winners were invited to come to Krakow to collect their
prizes.
