| European Service and Development Center
ILS has added a European Center for Service and
Development. The idea was to create a development center and emergency
technical support in Central Europe. This idea turned into reality
on November 2nd, 2004 when eBridge, s.r.o was founded by Jozef Briss
and Peter Kolciter. Located in Zilina, Slovakia, it started its
operations in full on November 25th, 2004.
Currently, Peter and Jozef provide emergency support
from 1:00 am to 8:00 am, New York time, at which time the Knoxville
office takes over. Their assistance greatly expands ILS' ability
to serve its customers in Europe and Asia. Jozef and Peter are also
very important in the development of new simulations and the continuous
improvement of student and instructor software.
Jozef Briss and Peter Kolciter are from Slovakia,
where they earned their master degrees in computer science, both
graduating from the University of Zilina in July 2001. Their master
thesis advisor was Peter Matis. During the summer of 2001, Peter
Matis had moved to Knoxville to work with Ernie Cadotte at the University
of Tennessee. Peter Matis served as the Marketplace development
team leader. He and Ernie decided to invite Jozef and Peter to Tennessee
to work with them on various Marketplace simulations and support
tools. It happened that they landed in Knoxville, TN on September
8th 2001 and spent three years working at UT.
The idea to build up a development center and emergency
technical support for ILS, Inc. in Central Europe was born as a
solution as to how to keep and extend Peter and Jozef's relationship
with ILS. According to Jozef and Peter, "The mission of the company
is to help with the creation of customized business simulations,
respecting all the needs of our customers and providing them with
even better products than they asked for." With this in mind, eBridge
s.r.o. constantly works to improve Marketplace, following Ernie's
vision, needs and directions.
Since the Marketplace games are played all over
the world, eBridge s.r.o. has agreed to help ILS, Inc. with handling
emergency technical support during the hours from 6AM GMT to 1PM
GMT (1:00 AM to 8:00 AM New York time).
